I attended Eastern Mennonite University, where I majored in Environmental Science and International Agriculture.  Also importantly, EMU is where I met my wife, Annie.  \r\n\r\nMy service assignment is with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cacscw.org\">Community Action Coalition for South Central Wisconsin<\/a> (CAC).  I am working under the Food Security program, with a focus on CAC Gleaners.  CAC Gleaners is a food rescue program in which volunteers pick up food, primarily from restaurants and grocers.  After pick-up, they or CAC distribute the food to food pantries, meal sites, or other emergency food providers.  The food ranges from already-cooked soups and cookies to fresh produce to day-old bread.","link":"http:\/\/www.mvsmadison.org\/blog\/?author=4","slug":"andrewd","avatar_urls":{"24":"https:\/\/secure.gravatar.com\/avatar\/cba2cee222304f0827d0ffe25faa004379941ae2f70183eedcf67a1ec5004918?s=24&d=blank&r=g","48":"https:\/\/secure.gravatar.com\/avatar\/cba2cee222304f0827d0ffe25faa004379941ae2f70183eedcf67a1ec5004918?s=48&d=blank&r=g","96":"https:\/\/secure.gravatar.com\/avatar\/cba2cee222304f0827d0ffe25faa004379941ae2f70183eedcf67a1ec5004918?s=96&d=blank&r=g"},"meta":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"http:\/\/www.mvsmadison.org\/blog\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/users\/4","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"http:\/\/www.mvsmadison.org\/blog\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/users"}]}}
